This week on DVD - July 26: Source Code, Dylan Dog, and Trust.

This week on dvd we have Source Code, Dylan Dog:Dead of Night, and Trust.

I'm not sure what to make of Source Code. The film looks decent, but also kind of bland and the poster above looks like a rip off of the Minority Report. Jake Gyllenhaal has the potential to carry a film, but the trailer for this movie looks very underwhelming and average.

I went to the cinema to see Dylan Dog:Dead of Night a couple of months ago because the trailer made it look pretty good and it seemed a bit odd, which is right up my alley for films. Brandon Routh and Sam Huntington do a fine job in the film, but the direction and tone wasn't what the trailer signified. The film is supposed to be a throw back to the private detective films of old, but it just didn't work. The idea was original enough and the acting was fine, it just didn't have what it takes to make it a solid film. It was lacking, but I'd still think it's worth checking out if you're into low budget thrillers or just want a few laughs.

Trust stars Clive Owen and was directed by David Schwimmer. That's just about all I know this film. Apparently it got pretty good reviews and it's a drama about a teenage girl being targeted by an online sexual predator. This doesn't seem like the kind of film that I'd like, but the ratings and reviews have swayed my opinion.
